FIRST PRADA: “Any time spent in Italy is well spent,” said American actor Nick Robinson at his first Prada show, although for the moment his time in the country was limited to the Italian designer’s event. His summer included “traveling a couple of weeks in the Northwest [of the U.S.], a beautiful area, with as many adventures as I can, but I have no plans yet — I just want to be spontaneous.” Prada tapped Robinson for its most recent 365 campaign, and the actor, seen in Greg Berlanti’s 2018 film “Love, Simon,” said attending the show was “a rare, unique experience,” as he rarely attends fashion shows. “It’s such a fascinating world, and whenever I get the opportunity, I usually take it.”
American actor and singer Algee Smith, also in Prada’s campaign, was equally star-struck. “This is my first show, I’m super excited.” He said that shooting the campaign — his first ever — was “nothing like I expected, we were in a warehouse and there was such an adrenaline rush…” The artist said his next album is coming out, as well as the movie “The Hate U Give,” expected to be released in October. Directed by George Tillman Jr. and written by Audrey Wells, it’s based on Angie Thomas’ novel of the same name. “It’s about police brutality,” said Smith.
Leather jackets from the Faith Connexion x Swizz Beatz collaboration
THE BEAT GOES ON: Faith Connexion and Swizz Beatz are making things official.
The rapper, DJ and producer, who has long been a fan of the collaborative label, has designed a capsule collection of 11 pieces that will be shown at the brand’s spring 2019 presentation in Paris on June 21, and hit stores this fall.
The items, which include hoodies, T-shirts, tracksuits and leather jackets, feature art by Nina Chanel Abney. Swizz Beatz collects works by the African-American artist, who explores race, gender, pop culture and politics in her brightly colored paintings, watercolors and collages.
“I love being partners with Faith because it’s the brand of freedom and the future. It’s also an honor to be working with the amazing Nina Chanel, who is a true artist in every form,” he said in a statement.
Faith Connexion president Maria Buccellati noted the tie-up was part of a long tradition of bringing together “creative souls” at the label, which has previously worked with influencer Sita Abellan, street artists Vincent Dacquin and Pisco Logik, and brands including Disney, Kappa and K-Way, among others.
PARIS — Goodbye seasoned superstar, and hello hidden talent!
Friday’s appointment of little-known British designer Daniel Lee as creative director of Bottega Veneta seemed to underscore a generational shift at the helm of top luxury brands. In recent years, houses including Hermès, Chloé, Courrèges, Mulberry, Oscar de la Renta and Mugler have taken a chance on studio members used to working in the shadow of a star designer.
And with creative searches still under way at brands including Lanvin, Nina Ricci and Emilio Pucci, the future is looking bright for the next generation of design talents, even as established figures like Alber Elbaz, Phoebe Philo, Stefano Pilati and Peter Copping remain on the market.
To be sure, marquee names still have plenty of currency: Witness the recent appointments of Riccardo Tisci at Burberry, Hedi Slimane at Céline, Kim Jones at Dior Homme and Off-White’s Virgil Abloh at Louis Vuitton men’s. Before them came Clare Waight Keller at Givenchy, Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior and Raf Simons at Calvin Klein.
Yet headhunters describe a changing of the guard in the industry’s top echelons.
“A new generation of highly competent designers is arriving on the scene,” said Agnès Barret, founder and chief executive officer of Paris-based fashion recruitment agency Agent

Monique Samuels is about to have her very own party of five!
The Real Housewives of Potomac star and her husband, former Washington Redskins player Chris Samuels, are expecting their third child together, PEOPLE confirms.
Monique — who is already a mom to son Christopher, 5, and daughter Milani, 2 — first revealed the news on Instagram Saturday, showing off her baby bump in a joyful Instagram boomerang.
“I’m way too happy to be bothered… I’m full of life… LITERALLY 🤣😆🙌🏾,” the reality star, 34, captioned the video, adding the hashtags “#RHOP #moniquesamuels #realhousewivesofpotomac #blessed #partyofFive #unbothered.”

Monique’s happy news comes nearly a year after the star suffered a miscarriage.
“A little over a month ago, we had a miscarriage,” Monique said in an April episode of RHOP, reflecting on how the couple had just moved into a 12,000-square foot home in Potomac at the time. “To be honest, I don’t think we fully dealt with it. We have been nonstop.”
“As soon as I took the pregnancy test, Chris was grinning from ear to ear. And it never once dawned on me that we would lose it,” she told audiences. “Until you’ve experienced loss, it’s hard to even put it into words, you know?”

Chris said on the episode that while he was “a little down about it,” his “main concern” was checking to make sure his wife was okay. “I was concerned because I’ve seen people boo boo crying, and she never did,” he revealed. “Monique just kind of kept flowing like it was normal.”
Explained Monique: “If that were the first time Chris and I had ever tried to get pregnant and then experienced that, I think it would have been a lot harder.”
“I’ve been so nonstop busy that I don’t even know if I could completely process what was going on with my body,” she said. “But right now I’ll just use this time to keep on pursuing other business ventures that I have in mind. And when the time comes that I’m ready to have a baby, it’ll happen.”

Monique’s also launching her own Not for Lazy Moms podcast this year. In addition to that, Monique also manages and handles all the bookkeeping on the couples investment properties.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
In a surprise move from Melania Trump, the first lady has released an uncharacteristic statement about her husband President Donald Trump‘s immigration policy.
“Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families,” Melania’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, told PEOPLE on Sunday.
FLOTUS also called for Democrats and Republicans to fix the nation’s immigration crisis.
“[She] hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform,” Grisham said, adding that Melania “believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart.”
At the time of the statement’s release on Sunday, which marked Father’s Day, Melania had yet to publicly celebrate her husband as a father figure to their 12-year-old son Barron as well as his adult children: Donald Jr., 40, Ivanka, 36, Eric, 34, and Tiffany, 24.

Nearly 2,000 children were separated from their families during a six-week period in April and May as the Trump Administration adopted a “zero-tolerance” policy of separating families at the border, TIME reported on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed to TIME that 1,995 children were separated from 1,940 adults by U.S. Border Patrol from April 19 through May 31 in the midst of the illegal immigration crackdown.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced in early May that officials would separate parents and children who are caught illegally crossing the border while prosecuting the parents for a federal misdemeanor.
While the parents are incarcerated, children — who are not charged with a crime — are separated and held in juvenile facilities with no clear process for reunification, TIME reported. In the past, families in this situation have typically been subject to civil deportation proceedings instead of criminal prosecution.
Meanwhile, on Father’s Day morning, members of Congress from New York and New Jersey insisted on access to Elizabeth Contract Detention Facility, a privately run detention facility in New Jersey, to meet and speak with detained fathers who have been separated from their children as a result of the crackdown, according to NBC News.
And in Texas, hundreds of protestors marched to Tornillo, Texas, where children are reportedly being held in a tent city detention facility.
Though Kendall Jenner isn’t with Caitlyn Jenner on Father’s Day, the supermodel is making sure her parent knows how much the day means to her.
“Happy Father’s Day to the soul that raised me,” Kendall, 22, shared on her Instagram Story along with two photos from the family’s early years and a more recent one of Caitlyn, 68, with her daughter Kylie Jenner.
Kendall was in Milan on Saturday, when she walked in Versace’s Spring 2019 menswear show, her first fashion show in five months. Caitlyn, who publicly came out as transgender in 2015, shared that she was in Los Angeles that same day.
Meanwhile, sister Kylie Jenner shared her own montage of throwback photos on her Instagram Story.
“So lucky to call you my dad,” the Kylie Cosmetics mogul, 20, wrote along with a polaroid of herself as a baby in her parent’s arms.

Kylie was also celebrating boyfriend Travis Scott‘s first Father’s Day since welcoming daughter Stormi on Feb. 1.
Though Kendall and Kylie wished Caitlyn a Father’s Day on social media, Caitlyn’s other children — son Burt, 39, and daughter Cassandra, 38, with ex-wife Chrystie Crownover; sons Brandon, 37, and Brody, 34, with ex-wife Linda Thompson — have yet to post holiday-themed mentions.

In May, Caitlyn admitted she has struggled to keep close bonds with all of her children.
“I spend a lot of time by myself here in the house,” Caitlyn told Broadly. “I have a lot of children, but sometimes just because of circumstances, maintaining a close relationship with your kids is very tough. They all have lives. They’ve all moved on.”
Caitlyn added, “We’re just human beings; we’re going to be here for a very short time. We come and we go and at the end, when it’s all said and done, hopefully your family is going to be there.”

The former Olympian also helped raise ex-wife Kris Jenner’s four children with the late Robert Kardashian: Kourtney, 39, Kim, 37, Khloé, 33, and Rob, 31.
However, since transitioning, Caitlyn has become estranged from Kris and the Kardashian side of the family. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars have been open about the fact that passages of Caitlyn’s 2017 memoir created a rift in the family. (In the book, Caitlyn alleged Kris knew more about her gender identity crisis than she says she did.)
And earlier this month, ex-wife Thompson threw shade at Caitlyn for missing their son Brody’s wedding to his girlfriend of five years, Kaitlynn Carter, on Sumba island, off the coast of Indonesia.
Although Brody’s mother, Thompson, was present for the nuptials, Caitlyn’s work commitments prevented her from being able to get to the Nihi Sumba Resort. Days after Brody and Carter said “I do,” Thompson re-posted her son’s video of the beachfront destination where he got married — and seemingly called out Caitlyn for being absent for the family affair.
“Yes, it’s on the other side of the world… But I would’ve gone to the moon and back to share in the joy of my darling son & his beautiful bride getting married!” she said. “That’s what parents do!”
PALM UNDER: Palm Angels revealed a collaboration with Under Armour during its spring 2019 show in Milan on Sunday evening. A number of T-shirts, shorts and hoodies were inspired by Under Armour’s staple American prints or natural landscape imagery. At the same time, Under Armour has partnered with Celliant, a new patented technology that has been FDA-proven to enhance performance, which was woven into the Palm Angels x Under Armour collaborative products.
Other innovative products by Under Armour included Recovery Sleepwear, for example, with the goal to expand the concept to other passive wearing occasions where athletes and entertainers can recover from training or performing. Palm Angels is designed by Francesco Ragazzi, who started the project as a coffee table book featuring black-and-white photography of the Los Angeles skateboarding scene, shot by the designer. The book was published by Rizzoli in 2014, and the first ready-to-wear collection debuted for fall 2015.
Aspyn Brown married Mitch Thompson in front of 120 guests Sunday at La Caille restaurant in Sandy, Utah, PEOPLE confirms exclusively.
Brown, 23, is the daughter of Sister Wives‘ Kody Brown and his third wife Christine.
The bride wore a satin and beaded dress by Alfred Angelo for the ceremony, which was held outside with a view of the mountains as the backdrop. The 400-person reception was held inside the chateau-style restaurant’s greenhouse.
As a nod to Thompson’s Scottish heritage, his mother made hats for Brown’s mom Christine and other women to wear, while the groom and Brown’s father Kody both father wore kilts.
The couple, who first met during a family party at her parents’ house, opted to go without a bridal party but still had 10 flower girls, including Brown’s younger sister Truely.
For their vows, the bride and groom wrote their own messages and did not exchange rings since they’ve already been wearing them for some time. They also chose to have a handfasting ceremony, a Celtic tradition in which couples bind their hands together during the wedding to symbolize their connection and devotion to one another.
As for why they chose their venue, “It’s beautiful on its own, so we didn’t have to do much,” Aspyn says. “There’s flowers, a beautiful view and a pond. We didn’t have to do much for décor because the venue is already great on its own. It takes away from us having to worry about a lot of details and allows us and our families to just enjoy it.”
Sister Wives will be returning to TLC for its eighth season.
NeNe Leakes and her husband Gregg are spending a quiet Father’s Day at home, just four days after she revealed he is battling cancer.
“This Father’s Day will probably be one of the most memorable ones we’ve ever had together!” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 50, wrote alongside a photo of the pair smiling in their kitchen.
”We are usually doing something all fancy but today we chose to just enjoy each other, have some company over and take tons of pics right here in the kitchen😂 no really,” she continued, before sweetly adding, “I love you more today than ever Gregg. Happy Father’s Day hunni❤.“
The couple share sons Bryson and Brentt.
In a separate post of the pair sharing a kiss, she added, “[You’re] gonna be just fine hunni! Happy Father’s Day.”

On Thursday, one day after sharing her husband’s diagnosis, Leakes thanked her friends and followers for all of their encouragement and advice.
“We have been so overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, support, thoughtfulness and prayers,” Leakes wrote on Instagram. “Some of you have educated us on cleanses, diets and holistic health care. We wouldn’t know some of these things if it wasn’t for the reach we have been blessed to have. So far, Gregg is doing great! He feels good with the exception of not being able to eat a lot.”
Leakes, who initially did not say what type of cancer Gregg has, shared on Thursday that it is not prostate cancer. She also added that the cancer has now been removed, and they’re deciding whether to start chemotherapy.
No matter what they decide, Leakes will continue to post about his treatments on social media.
“We want to be as public about this as possible to help the next person or family that might have to step into these shoes one day,” Leakes continued. “Gregg wants to encourage all men to get regular physicals and labs! He was that guy that hated to see the doctor! (NO he doesn’t have prostate cancer) but listen, if anybody knows how to fight, it’s me and Gregg! Let’s do this cancer.”
